Bruno Mars is having a stellar year.

The musician is currently traveling and performing around the world on his 24K Magic tour. The tour has grossed hundreds of millions in earnings and heralded for the level of artistry displayed by Mars and his band. It will come to an end this month in Bruno’s hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii. Evidently, Mars’ final  24K Magic performance will be meaningful for a number of reasons.

According to a report by People, Mars plans to enter the holiday season in an extraordinary fashion and will be making a considerable donation through the Hawaii Community Foundation to the Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving Dinner Program in the Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division. In a gesture honoring his tour and recent album, Mars’s donation will benefit 24,000 Hawaiin residents.

Earlier this month, Bruno took to his Twitter to reveal just how much of a food enthusiast and masterful chef he is writing, “U know every now and then I turn the stove on & make myself a salami sandwich. I think it’s best if u all knew that.. Alright.. take care.” Though he may not be cooking a Thanksgiving meal on his own any time soon, Bruno certainly cares about ensuring thousands of people across Hawaii have access to them. A recent press release addressing the donation lauds the musician for his efforts which will “single-handedly expanding [the program’s] reach across the state.” The meals will be also be made available to individuals who are home-bound.
