XXL recently spoke to Lance Lazarro regarding 6ix9ine’s case. Lazattor claims that the charges 6ix9ine is facing are excessive, but he does feel like they will be dismissed.

“I believe that the charges against him is an over-charge by the U.S. Attorney’s Office and that when the facts come out I am confident that the charges will be dismissed as it relates to Daniel Hernandez,” Lazarro told the publication.

The judge brought up 6ix9ine’s alleged connections to an armed robbery that took place in April where he’s being accused of using and brandishing a firearm in a scenario that left a man shot in the foot. However, Lazarro denies that 6ix9ine’s role in these incidents.

“I don’t believe that [6ix9ine] participated in any of the three instances that they’re referring to,” Lazarro said. “[6ix9ine was] not even in the state of New York [for] the July 16 incident.”

He added, “Yet he’s being charged with a shooting when he wasn’t even in the state of New York. And you can’t be guilty of a crime if you’re not present.”
