A$AP Rocky will be joined by some of hip-hop’s current A-list in headlining the 2019 edition of the BUKU Music + Art Project festival – some of which include GRiZ, Ella Mai, $uicideboy$, Playboi Carti, Gunna, Kevin Gates, Death Grips, Yaeji, Denzel Curry, J.I.D, EarthGang, Doja Cat, Rico Nasty, Jodeci, and that doesn’t account for the acts that are hip-hop adjacent from the EDM crowd. The BUKU Music + Art Project festival is now in its 9th iteration since debuting in 2012 on the same New Orleans grounds. Besides the musical agenda that gets most of the media attention, the Art Project slant will feature dozens upon dozens of visual projects and galleries for a more immersive “festival” experience than your average “Bonnaroo” outing.

A portion of the tickets proceeds will go towards the Upbeat Academy Foundation, a charitable organization that provides the less fortunate in New Orleans with the opportunity to take part in hip-hop dance tutorials, workshops, and master-lessons. The last time BUKU held an event earlier in the year, over 17,500 people were in attendance. The next BUKU music fest taking place on March 22nd and 23rd next year is projected to exceed those numbers. Tickets go on sale on December 11th at the festival’s website. Act fast, tickets sold out this time last year!
