Apparently having an upside down Christmas tree is something to write about, only if it regards Ariana Grande, of course. The “No Tears Left To Cry” singer shared a photo of her holiday Christmas tree on Instagram recently and to everyone’s surprise it was upside down, rooted on her roof.It’s definitely a less classic holiday look, and when TMZ caught up with the singer when she was leaving her New York City apartment she simply stated the reason is that “sometimes life is just upside down.”

We can all agree that Ariana has had quite a year still dealing with the after effects of the 2017 Manchester bombing, her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller sadly passing away, breaking up with her fiance Pete Davidson and then dealing with his troubling suicidal notes.

“I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore. i’m doing my best to stay here for you but i actually don’t know how much longer i can last. All i’ve ever tried to do was help people. just remember i told you so,” Pete posted and then quickly deleted. Ariana reportedly attempted to see her ex after the note was shared by many online, but the comedian refused to see her.

So yeah, an upside Christmas tree in Ariana’s apartment is understandable.
