So the timeline is a bit wonky, but rest assured Azealia Banks never withdrew her support of Kanye West. It took a Kanye West intervention for her to pipe down her anger towards Nicki Minaj for supporting a “known sex offender” in Tekashi 6ix9ine. Out of that armistice was born an invitation to pen a verse on the forthcoming Tekashi album DUMMY. She accepted and thus her relationship with the embattled 6ix9ine as spun in a different direction, an amicable one.

Now that the project has been leaked, Azealia has been left with little recourse but to offer her demo reel free of charge. The version of “FEEFA” that leaked to internet back channels did not include her vocal arrangement. Since the song has been “out of the fridge” for 24 hours now, Azealia uploaded the WAV. file to her Instagram account, with the simple caveat: “I recorded this a few weeks ago. Since it’s leaked may as well throw my bid in. This is a rough demo.”

Don’t let me gas this any further. Murda Beatz did his thing channeling Timbaland with those crunchy drum kicks. Azalea Banks returned the favor in her demo reel, by channeling Lil Kim circa Y2K. What will come of DUMMY? The more pressing question might be: what will come of Tekashi 6ix9ine racketeering trial?

Keep it locked.
