While X’s music touched the lives of many, Ski Mask The Slump God shared a real-life connection with the late ? rapper. The pair was one of the definitive second-generation bromances, having spent the majority of their come-up as a tandem; whether they were working on Members Only material, or holding it down for memorable joint interviews, X and Ski were nigh inseparable.

Though they eventually found themselves immersed in a public conflict, it didn’t take long for the friends to bury any potential hatchets, coming to an amicable reunion during a Rolling Loud performance. Now, a little over five months since X’s passing, Ski Mask has taken to Instagram to mourn his fallen friend. “5 Fucking Months, I Still And Will Never Comprehend How To Cope,” writes The Slump God, in a heartfelt eulogy. “Cant Be Thankful Enough For You Still Being There With Me Always.”
