The “STOOPID” artist showed up for court this Wednesday morning in Brooklyn and entered a guilty plea to a disorderly conduct charge. In exchange, prosecutors dropped the misdemeanor assault charge he had been facing.
Previous reports claimed Tekashi squeezed an officer’s hand after cops apprehended him on the road. The entertainer had been driving on a suspended license at the time.
Considering the severity of this case, the judge decided not to impose jail time for 6ix9ine’s guilty plea. His freedom, however, is contingent to his being on his best behavior for a year.
Tekashi’s responsibilities in relation to the conditional discharge most likely overlap those imposed by his probation. In this case, if he gets in trouble within the year, he risks jail time.
This news comes after Tekashi’s alleged involvement in another altercation leading up to a shooting. The incident occurred within hours of probation being imposed on the rapper.
