6ix9ine’s Ex-Manager Shotti Parts Ways With His Lawyer
Kifano Jordan needs some new representation.
According to Complex, attorney Scott E. Leemon requested to be removed from the case as he wishes to no longer represent Kifano “Shotti” Jordan. Leemon says that he initially appeared in court on Shotti’s behalf because his family had promised that a retainer fee would be paid. The money has apparently still not been sent. Leemon said, “It has now been several weeks since that appearance [in court] and I still have not received payment.” According to court documents, the attorney visited Shotti to inform him that he wishes to be removed from counsel, which he did not oppose to.
Shotti was among the men busted with 6ix9ine for racketeering and weapons charges. They face a maximum sentence of life in prison. Tekashi’s trial is currently set to begin in September 2019.
